Active Shooter Train the Trainer Course

Through the use of State Homeland Security Grant Program funds, the RIPCA and RIEMA is sponsoring an Active Shooter Train the Trainer Course. This 40 hour course is offered free of charge and upon successful completion provides the agency with a Certified Active Shooter Trainer. This Trainer is necessary for your agency to utilize its Active Shooter Grant Funds.

This is the same course that was offered last year. The course will be conducted September 13-17, 2010 at the Warwick Police Range. This course is being taught by the Rhode Island Tactical Officers Association(RITOA).

To register please contact Coventry PD Chief's Secretary Beverly Gammel at 822-9124 after JULY 20, 2010. All Rhode Island Police Departments will initially be offered one slot, if seats remain vacant, additional seats will be offered.

The deadline for registration will be September 3, 2010

Bomb and Boobytrap Counter Measures For Tactical Teams (8 hours)
High Threat Tactical Debriefing Seminar (8 hours)
